Building Together

For 65 years, SEMHA has provided program services to foster cross organizational lines to build a health nexus of support. We work to uphold capacity building efforts to focus on a shared vision to uproot systemic barriers, reassessing community needs, and making use of proper technology and innovation for trusted processes.

We identify resources with our partners to provide priority support. Creative collaboration influences the decisions we make and empowers the development of sustainable services.

Health Equity

Data are collected by health departments, health plans, health care systems, employers, community agencies and other organizations. What is lacking is a compilation of these data, from a regional perspective and across public and private sectors, that facilitates successful action for health improvement.

Data Support

The CPH unit of SEMHA is to ensure there is no lack of population health data. We are a region-wide resource to offer specialized expertise, sophisticated technological capability and a unique understanding of organizational structure to communities and agencies throughout Southeastern Michigan.

Capacity Building and Leadership

Alongside services to help better understand emerging public health issues, SEMHA actively supports local community assessments, the purchase and renovation of health facilities, graduate seminar sponsorship, training seminars, and a host of on-going planning and program activities.
